Saving Bilt points for Hyatt? They lose 25% on January 1, 2027
What are your points really worth? The one-minute answer.
| 100,000 Bilt points | Until December 31, 2026 | From January 1, 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| As Hyatt stays | about $1,650 | about $1,240 |
| As cash, a credit on your Bilt card bill | about $550 | about $550 |
Waiting costs about $410 per 100,000 points, but only if you'd spend them at Hyatt.
What to do
- Hyatt stay you'll book anyway? Move just enough points for it by December 31, 2026.
- Also have a Chase Sapphire Reserve? Its points move to Hyatt 1:1, and Bilt's change doesn't touch them. Use those for Hyatt instead.
- No Hyatt plans? Keep your Bilt points. Once moved, they can't come back.
Hyatt values use a published points-site estimate of 1.65¢ a point. The cash value is an estimate too, because Bilt doesn't publish a rate; this change doesn't touch it. Not financial advice.
