Your points, in plain dollars
Do you know what your points are worth?
100,000 Chase points, used two ways:
The cash is your floor. The rest can change.
We let you know:
- what your points pay in cash today
- which cards pay you more
- when they're worth the most
Two ways to use your points
1
Take the cash
$1,000
for 100,000 Chase points. Fixed and simple. We call this the floor.
2
Book travel with them
~$2,050
if you move them to an airline or hotel and book well. They set the prices, so this part is at risk.
Words you'll see
- Transfer: moving card points to an airline or hotel. One-way.
- 1:1, 4:3: how many arrive. 100,000 points become 100,000, or 75,000.
- Per point (¢): Chase pays 1.00¢ each, so 100,000 = $1,000.
- Statement credit: points used to pay your card bill. Same as cash.
- Miles: what Capital One calls its points.
- Valuation: a points site's estimate. Not a price anyone pays you.
