Sapphire Reserve: some of your points lose $500 per 100,000 in 2027
What are your points really worth? The one-minute answer.
Applied for a Chase Sapphire Reserve before June 23, 2025? Some of your points book more travel than the rest on Chase Travel, Chase's own booking site. Until October 26, 2027.
| Your points | 100,000 points book |
|---|---|
| Earned before October 26, 2025 | $1,500 of travel, until October 26, 2027 |
| All other points | $1,000 of travel |
Do your points qualify?
Both have to be true:
- You applied for the Sapphire Reserve before June 23, 2025.
- You earned the points before October 26, 2025.
What should you do?
Take cash and 100,000 Chase points pay $1,000, deadline or not. That's your floor.
The extra $500 only counts on trips booked through Chase Travel. Planning one anyway? Book it before October 26, 2027. If not, you lose nothing.
Chase's newer Points Boost can sometimes do better on select hotels and flights. Chase says you "automatically receive the best offer available."
