100,000 Chase points are “worth” $2,050. Only $1,000 of it is cash.
What are your points really worth? The one-minute answer.
| 100,000 points | Points-site value | Cash today | Rides on transfers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chase | $2,050 | $1,000 | $1,050 |
| Amex | $2,000 | $600 | $1,400 |
| Citi, with a Strata Premier | $1,900 | $750 | $1,150 |
| Capital One | $1,850 | $500 | $1,350 |
| Bilt | $2,200 | about $550 | about $1,650 |
Cash is what the bank pays when you ask. The rest shows up only if you move points to an airline or hotel and book well.
What to do
- Book award trips? The extra value is real. Transfer for trips you'd take anyway.
- Points just sit? Plan with the cash column. The rest can shrink when a program changes the rules: from January 1, 2027, Bilt points get 25% fewer Hyatt points (details).
- Have Citi or Amex? Your cards set your cash rate. Citi pays $1,000 with a Double Cash or Custom Cash linked. Amex pays $1,100 into a Schwab account with the Schwab Platinum.
Values: a major points site's October 2026 valuations. Cash: rates set by the banks; Bilt's is an estimate, because Bilt doesn't publish one. Not financial advice.
